The broad and enriching co-curriculum programme at Banbridge High School complements learning in the academic curriculum to provide each student with a skill set that will support them in the future. A well-balanced combination of academic and co-curricular learning increases the willingness to take risks, develops social interaction, boosts confidence and enhances the development of leadership skills. It has also been found to provide students with the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills that are needed to work in a rapidly globalising world. Students will face new challenges in an environment where risk-taking is nurtured and supported. Our pupils learn to work in teams as well as use their own initiative to problem solve and develop ideas. This produces a resilient, versatile and adaptable student who is a competent allrounder.
